Ostenda Illuminata [Prototype 2]
Temporary Installation for the 19th Annual Gabriel Gathering | 2021
*Work on this project was done under the leadership of Mona El Khafif with cooperation from Andrew Mondschein, Luis Felipe Rosado Murillo, Davis Eddy, Jon Kropko, Seshi Konu and Quinton Mason. My role on this project was as a research assistant, aiding in the production of graphics and engaging in the modeling and scripting of the design.
In October 2021, Ostenda Illuminata 2.0 was unveiled at the 19th Annual Gabriel Gathering in the Shockoe Bottom neighborhood of Richmond, VA. Collaborating with Free Bangura from Untold RVA and Ana Edwards from the Sacred Ground for Historical Reclamation Project, this project sought to address issues of environmental justice, placemaking, and the reclamation of scared space through a responsive installation that made environmental conditions visible and engaging.
